MY STORY

I enlisted in the Army at 17.

After the Army, I attended Louisiana Tech University and started my career in mental health and social services. I began on the front lines working directly with clients, but I kept getting pulled toward the bigger picture: how programs were designed, how services were delivered, and how to make them work better for the people depending on them. I went on to redevelop programs that helped people living with mental illness manage their conditions while finding and keeping meaningful work, and I served on mental health advisory councils that shaped programming across the community.

As my career grew, so did my interest in the business behind the mission. I earned my MBA from the University of Texas Permian Basin and moved into fiscal analysis and planning for an organization of more than 2,000 employees. That led me to a clinical research company, where I became Vice President of Business Operations and the most senior executive leader in the organization.

On paper, I had everything I'd worked toward. I was closing multimillion dollar deals and leading teams across multiple functions. But the more I accomplished, the less fulfilled I felt. I was spending more hours away from home and losing touch with the things I actually enjoyed.

So I started paying attention to the moments when I felt most like myself. It was when someone asked about their business and I could immediately see where their operations were breaking down. It was mentoring someone through a career decision and watching the pieces finally click.

That's where I lit up. And eventually, I realized I needed to stop treating those moments like the side part of my career and build something around them.

So I built Archer Agency. Today I work with business owners who are ready to stop running everything themselves, starting with The CTRL Audit and, for those who want ongoing support, working alongside them as a fractional COO. I also serve on the boards of NAWBO San Antonio, Project MEND, and Lifetime Recovery.
